Threat Agent Assessment

Threat Agent Assessment is designed for client's and organization's that have experienced (or are experiencing) a network security compromise such or theft of information from an internet threat agent (e.g. network aware worm) or specific remote access application (e.g. MS Blaster trojan).

An example would be a company who has been infected by a worm or virus, and was able to mitigate or defeat it and wants to prepare for a future incident. Another example would be a network which has been infected by Malware such as a Trojan Horse Application (e.g. SubSeven, Sockets de Trois Netbus, Back Orifice) or other program that lets a user remotely access the network in a malicious or damaging way. This assessment will show how this remote access program (and others) work, how to protect network assets against them and ways to stay on top of the latest threat agents lurking throughout cyberspace.

Finally, if a user within the organization is accessing the network in an unauthorized way or using it for malicious purposes or corporate espionage, this service can catch them in the act. This service will be able to assess the maximum impact this threat agent could have as well as show methods to lure the rogue user to a "mock network asset" (honey pot) and then be able to establish their IP address, identity and locale.

This assessment will show the network and organizations' vulnerabilities to specific threat agents. The analysis will examine the likelihood of an attack (risk) and the best method of prevention and mitigation (countermeasure). All of this information will be analyzed and then presented in a detailed report with recommendations to better protect against threat agents.
